1. Cheepunkal Kayal View Point

Beautiful Lake view with paths covered by Grass and Water Lilies Blossom in the Morning. If you are lucky you can see some exotic birds as well.

How to reach: Walkable ( 2kms ), or by an Auto rickshaw. Parking a car at this point is bit hard, there are local houses which provide parking on a charged basis. Bicycle ride also possible.
Take a left turn towards Cheepunkal bridge from Kumarkom Wood Castle. Take a left turn towards the road just before the bridge. Proceed straigt for 1km to reach the end of the road where the view point is there.
2. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary
Beautiful greenery with Exotic Seasonal Birds.
Ideal Time: 06:00 to 08:00 am
How to reach: Walkable (300m).
3. Nalupank Houseboat Terminal.
Get a wonderful view of the backwaters with place walk and snap real good photos. Also see the sunset or sunrise from here.
Ideal Time: 06:00 to 09:00am and 03:00 - 06:00pm
How to reach: Requires Car/ Auto Rickshaw (9 kms)
4. Pathiramanal Island
A reserved forest in the midst of Vembanad Lake rich with birds and Butterflies.

8. Local Village Visit with Lake View Point
Enrich your mornings with the Paddy Field Visit and Bird watching. If you are lucky enough you can see exotic birds and blooming Water Lilies.
How to Reach: Walkable ( 750m ). Take a right to the narrow road before the Kumarakom Kitchen Hotel and proceed straight where the paddy fields starts until you are done. You can avail the Bicycles for this trip.
